/v2/user/fiat-quote endpoint to retrieve a real-time exchange rate for converting one fiat currency to another over VelaFi’s stablecoin rails. Specify the originating and recipient country and currency as query parameters. When you set createQuoteId=true, the API also returns a quoteId you can attach to a payment order to lock in that price. This endpoint is limited to 500 requests per minute per account.
A
quoteId is valid for 20 seconds in production and 300 seconds in the sandbox. It is bound to your account and to the corridor (on-ramp country and fiat, off-ramp country and fiat) it was issued for; an order for a different corridor, or after it expires, is rejected. A quoteId is single-use, and an order-create request can consume it even if that request is then rejected.Request

The
price field is a reference rate. It reflects the current market exchange rate but does not guarantee execution at that rate unless you have a valid quoteId and submit your payment order within the reservation window.Request a fresh quote immediately before submitting a payment order rather than caching a rate from an earlier user interaction. Exchange rates for fiat corridors can move quickly.
