VelaFi supports a range of cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies to power on-ramp, off-ramp, and global payment flows. Understanding the exact currency codes, decimal precision, and underlying protocols ensures you format amounts correctly in API requests and display them accurately to end users. The tables below cover every supported asset.

Cryptocurrencies

The table below lists crypto assets VelaFi supports across multiple blockchain protocols. It is not exhaustive. Call GET /v2/base/cryptos for the current list. When submitting crypto amounts in API requests, always respect the decimal precision for each asset to avoid rounding errors.
USDT and USDC are available on multiple protocols. When initiating a transaction, specify the exact protocol in your request to ensure funds are routed to the correct network. Sending to the wrong network may result in permanent loss of funds.

Fiat Currencies

Fiat currencies are organized by country. Several countries support more than one currency (for example, Peru supports both PEN and USD). Decimal precision is uniform at 2 for most currencies, with the exception of PEN which uses 4 decimal places.
When building multi-currency interfaces, store and transmit amounts as integers scaled by the currencyโ€™s decimal precision (e.g., 100 ARS cents = 1.00 ARS) to avoid floating-point issues in downstream systems.
