Creating a VelaFi account is the first step toward accessing the full suite of on-ramp, off-ramp, and global payment APIs. Once your account is active, you can create merchants, generate API keys, and start building integrations immediately.

Visit the VelaFi Signup Page

Open your browser and navigate to velafi.com/signup.
Use a work email address for your account. This makes it easier to manage API keys and merchant profiles as your team grows.

Complete Registration

Follow the on-screen instructions to fill in your registration details. This typically includes your name, email address, and a secure password.Submit the form when you are ready. VelaFi will send a verification email to the address you provided — open it and click the confirmation link to activate your account.

Log In to Your Account

Return to velafi.com and sign in with the credentials you just created. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is available during login, enable it now — it is required later when you generate an API key.

Complete Next Steps

With your account active, you are ready to configure the remaining pieces of your integration.

Create a Merchant

Register an individual or business entity and complete KYC/KYB verification to receive your Merchant ID.

Generate an API Key

Enable API access and create an API key to authenticate every request you make to the VelaFi API.
Your account operates in the sandbox environment by default during development. Switch to production credentials — issued at https://api.velafi.com — only after your integration is fully tested.
